12/2/22 5:30pm Good evening from my end folks! Amidst this week of love, I had planned for some other post, but came across this incidence yesterday that I am gonna share. I was forced to think, sit down and pen it all.  Okay, So I Iive in this small village of Himachal where almost every house has a domestic animal whether cow, buffalo or goat. People here do not have large acres of land but sufficient enough to grow grains, fruits and vegetables for their survival. Alongside they pet an animal as they get milk and then use cowdung as manure. That's like routine work for most of the villagers unless they work outside or stay away from home. And probably these people are one of the most satisfied. They don't really seek much. They are happy around their families which definitely include their pets as well:) This story is about the Cow who spent some 10 years of her life in this house just next to mine.  I remember when the Aunt next door brought her from her matern...

The Surgery of Truth or The Analgesics as Lies?

6/2/22 12:30am Not the usual time of my writing, but some days we all are broken enough when we just wanna let it all flow.  What does I mean by broken here and what does the flow means? For a second, our Instagram reels and YouTube shorts inspired generation would relate to Valentine weeks heartbreak. Oh wait, that is around the corner as well, and I might come up on something really interesting on that too.  Okay let's stick with this one for tonight. I always feel we all live in a bubble . A bubble created by our parents around us, strengthened by good friends and folks we meet through. A bubble that is kinda meant to protect us from evil thoughts, evil people maybe.  But the more you grow in life (agewise here), you meet many people along the way. And not everyone correspond to your definition of sanity and goodness. And it's absolutely alright. No two Homo sapiens are same. How can their way of thinking be?  But even then, the morals and e...

Menstruation-Why Still A Taboo?

Image
3/2/22 7:40pm A lot many would already skip reading this blog because that's how we all have been structured by our society..Not to talk about menstruation, avoid any rare contact to this topic, kids to skip family conversations about the same and elders to keep their mouth shut regarding this when in front of children; when infact Menstruation is nothing but a normal physiology of female mammals.  Menstruation, the periodic lunar cycle of shredding endometrium from female uteri which manifests as cyclical bleeding has been considered a taboo, a sin for numerous years now.  The etymology is related to Latin word "Mensis" meaning month which hails its origin from Greek word "Mene" meaning Moon bringing to analogy the lunar cycling of moon and menses. The surprising beliefs and myths about this dates back to centuries and have shaped a lot many cultural and social stigmas and it isn't history still.  The same stigma prevails to the current da...

Lockdown Chills 1.0

29/01/22 7:00pm We are pretty fast pacing creatures, the most evolved of all in terms of increased number of gyri and sulci in our frontal lobe. We think we are controlling it all, but how an uncertain pandemic put a sudden halt to all our works, plans, dreams and some relations too.  Life was going pretty good for most of us, engrossed in daily routines of personal and professional liabilities. And Boom! One night and it's all sealed. The national and international borders and enclosed we were all, inside the rooms, or at max a neighbourhood.  Lucky were a few who were stuck with people, whether you loved them or not, but that very moment you realised how important good connections, the ones made at heart are. You couldn't move out for days, and then months but there were people around you who you could talk to, share about your insecurities and the most important, you had enough food on your plate and a shelter on your head . Aren't those the things th...

Introduction to The Flow Void

21/01/22 5:30pm Heyyaa everyone. This is me. Swati as you all can call me. Entering this space on a suggestion by one of my really good friend. So just thought of putting this first blog as somethings you should know about me from the start. Rest we will learn on the journey together as we shall discover new ones every passing day. So I come from the Himalayas, a pretty big part of my life is based there, call me the Moutain girl maybe. I work in the day to help people come out of their physical and sometimes psychological sorrows, "The Doctor" as you say. I am an MBBS from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla and very soon, I shall be starting with my residency, that's like Post graduation in Medicine.  These days I am just killing time by reading few books, grinding on the courts hitting shuttles with my cousin, and sometimes going out in the woods. I have always been someone who expresses it better via words through paper, I am not very sure how well can I...
