Lockdown Chills 1.0

29/01/22 7:00pm
We are pretty fast pacing creatures, the most evolved of all in terms of increased number of gyri and sulci in our frontal lobe. We think we are controlling it all, but how an uncertain pandemic put a sudden halt to all our works, plans, dreams and some relations too.
Life was going pretty good for most of us, engrossed in daily routines of personal and professional liabilities. And Boom! One night and it's all sealed. The national and international borders and enclosed we were all, inside the rooms, or at max a neighbourhood.
Lucky were a few who were stuck with people, whether you loved them or not, but that very moment you realised how important good connections, the ones made at heart are. You couldn't move out for days, and then months but there were people around you who you could talk to, share about your insecurities and the most important, you had enough food on your plate and a shelter on your head. Aren't those the things that mattered the most in those times of lockdown and even otherwise also?
Because many died simply die to the lack of these:(

It was certainly being blessed of few of us to be around people whom you love and see them growing and laughing and blossoming through life even when times are hard. Because no matter what, the hope that good times shall unfold soon is the one that runs the world. And most of us were like that only! That very soon this COVID thing would end and we will get back to our busier lives soon enough.
But wasn't this thinking of us deceiving? Time and people once lost never never return back so how could we expect life to go back 2019 way. I didn't and life didn't prove me wrong as well. It changed so much and we shall talk about that in the next blog.
So yeah this was the first set of people through pandemic who had their humans around to keep their sanity at place.

But what about the other group? The ones who were all alone in places away from home, struggling mentally with sudden shift in routines. No more escapes from one's dark realities, drowning in one's own unending ocean of irresistible thoughts. The mind is the biggest player and it plays even badly once you get into the realm of dark thoughts. You don't even realise you're being played by your thinking and slowly your body starts sinking in as well. Eating, sleeping and all other daily routines entirely messed up. And the person who was feeling lonely to start with, ends up shooing away even the people he/she needs most at that time. Thanks to your miscommunication skills that have recently come up. It's like you are hungry enough, you know you'll strave to death without food but then you are angry somehow and you won't eat up. Yeah, you wanna people to listen to you, your unending mysterious thoughts but at the same time you are cutting off any little communication that's possible. And trust me, the second group of people were worst struck during the pandemic. Nothing and no one got more power in you than yourself.

That's why when I look back I feel so thankful for few people in my life who deserve an entire blog and one dedicating to them shall come up soon. But yeah guys, it's really really important to prioritise things in life. If you haven't, do it right now.
5 things you wanna do in life.
5 people close to your heart.
5 activities you wanna learn.
5 things that give you joy.
Today only find your reason to live. And accomplish great things in life with good ethics and morals.
And be verysure of one thing. People once gone never come back. So don't try think it's gonna be another day and I will make it up to him/her. If you care enough, go on, reach them, and hold on for as long as possible. Empathy is so underrated. Don't let wokes tell you it ain't necessary. The world needs more of good people.
Just like my favourite Bruce Wayne says, " Not everything, Not yet!"

P.S This picture I tagged along is from the COVID 2nd wave. I was stuck in a place away from home. This park was just 100ms from my place, I used to visit every evening.
